So Much Music.

Goldfinch60

Yet again it happened,

Another piece of music,

Another piece I did not know.

Listening to music

Throughout my life time

There is still music,

Music that I do not know.

The more I learn,

Learn about music,

The more ignorant

I realise I am.

So much music,

So little time.

A fine write Gold. Yes, and so many hymns/choruses/songs I don't know the tunes and/or words too.
It don't help if the choir just sings merrily on, and no-one in the congregation knows the hymn. Are they teasing us?
    How's your repertoire?!

    • Goldfinch60

My repertoire is quite good but I can read the music which helps a lot. You know
doh, ray , me, fah, lah, tee, doh.

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Morning Uncle Andy thanks for the Video ! We love the CLARINET an instrument which lifts the woodwind section in an Orchestra ~ AND ~ as a Liquorish Stick is an essential in any Trad Jazz sextet ! Its musical range is very direct on the ear. My Dads MANTRA is *Music Maketh Man* he is an amateur Concert Pianist & Church Organist from a Teenager ! Some of my Cousins studied Classical Music and when we communicated by e-mail and CD I did warn them that the World of Music is infnite. When we get married in April ~ Angela & I will have over 400 CDS between us with few duplicates. Before we start our Family our Guest Bedroom will double as a Music Room ! All my CDS are numbered - classified and stored on bespoke shelves. I now have ALEXA in the Kitchen and she is a great Musical Reservoir. Thanks for the POEM ~ there is a 100 times more items of NEW RECORDED MUSIC produced each week MONTH than we could possibly listen too ! Angela subscribes to the Classic FM (her fave in car radio station !) Magazine which increases her stack (also neatly arranged and catalogued !) of CDS. Music is a Passions of both of US ~ AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
      Love BRIAN & ANGELA

That four hundred CD's is a good start, I have about 2,000 and I still have over 2,000 cassette tapes, and the means to play them. I am also a member of Amazon Prime Music and there the choice is almost infinite.
I also still have my records, including the first LP I ever bought "The Shadows" in 1961, it is the only LP with the original line up of Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan, on their second album, "Out of the Shadows", which I also have, Tony Meehan was replaced by Brian Bennett.

            Dear Andy,

Without MUSIC the world will be a sad place.

My pleasure to read your words.

            Zuzanna
