Memoir's Fade

markziff

Should time bring fade to
The warmth of your smile,
The feel of your skin,
The taste of your lips,
The scent from your hair,
The sound of your voice.

While I will cling to, what is left,
Who gave me the love of my true one,
These overwhelming feelings,
Of delicate tenderness, being as one,
I will forever carry in my heart that I miss,
So very much, my rare and precious one.

All I have left now of you,
Are memories of one I love so,
I love with all my heart,
With all I felt forever so,
With all and everything I am,
With all I could and ever be so.

Feels like I will rest my writing for a little now. 😔

I will, thank you, so much, for you encouragement, and kind words.

Wonderful emotive write. I do hope that you will not rest for long and we will see your words again soon.

When I'd finished this one I felt like I'd said goodbye to Mel.
