An embrace of warmth in the cold, snowy weather,
the taste of chocolate making everything better.
The rays of sunlight on frozen ice,
a hint of laughter in teary eyes.
The light under the door leisurely emerging into the darkness of my room,
the chirping of birds and watching the first flower bloom.
A jovial celebration; a world of imagination.
Seeing a loved one after several years,
laughing with my face covered in years.
Gazing the twinkling stars in the sky,
listening to the melodious sound of water lapping by.
Happiness appears in numerous forms;
Emerges like a rose amongst thorns.

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem reminds me to be attentive to the smallest details in life and find happiness in them. Moreover, it reminds the Potterhead in me to think of the quote, โHappiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.โ

This is a beautiful write. So much positivity and reminder that we donโt have to look that far to find some joy in life. My favourite part was the last two lines
Happiness appears in numerous forms;
Emerges like a rose amongst thorns.
It truly can just pop up in what feels like the most painful of times.
Just a wonderful piece
