Before I managed
To escape
And found myself
I was a mere reflection
In a mirror
On someone else’s shelf

Clever my friend this turnabout word which had me working out what it meant before I read your verse. Finding oneself seems to need facing forward and inward after that jump off the shelf eh .......... will try that today......... x
Thank thee my lady F.. a much appreciated visit and then some …. Neville
Hahaha fantastic, I didn't see that one coming. Always appreciated!
Thanks Dan, must appreciated...
Short, sweet and a powerful message. From ocean to ocean, from sea to sea. I found, there's only one me.
thank you kindly
Neville

A fine write N. I saw myself coming back from town one day, before I had even got there. Same sort of thing, or am I spouting rubbish?! heehee.
Nah.. you are making perfect sense.... N... almost forgot.. thanks O..
Thanks N. I first read the title a 'Not it self-er'. Geddit?!
Goddit…
Such a lot said in so few words. I don’t think I have quite left that shelf yet. Need to though
Thank you for this thought provoking clever short. Sometimes our very selves are staring right into our faces.
I liked this, thank you
I am delighted you found this little scribble.. thank you DB... N
Simple, soulful 🙂
Simply grateful and true 😎
That reflection does not show the real you that others see, and the one we see writes these clever words.
Andy
