Tune: Repton

('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')

2 Timothy 2 v.24-26

**********

Servants of the Lord must not strive

Nor from quarrels derive

Satisfaction, as to compete

Against man, but sit at Christ's feet

So be content, replete

So be content, replete

They must be gentle unto all

Apt to teach, hear Christ's call

Patient, and meekly instruct those

Who do against themselves oppose

Whence conflicts have arose

Whence conflicts have arose

If so it be, God may them give

Repentance, they shall live

The truth acknowledge, and yielding

To Christ's salvation in each thing

Gospel message them bring

Gospel message them bring

Ans that they come to their senses

See as through clear lenses

Thus saved from snare of evil one

Who takes captive with mercy none

They redeemed by the Son

They redeemed by the Son
