Oh, beautiful music
Your lyrics are the story of my life;
Bitter
Torn
Angry
The list for you goes on and on
How that melody drifts fully around me
Like the wind blowing in the distance
With your captivating sound
And gravitational pull,
You embrace me in your arms
And like a mother comforts child,
You comfort me with words
How many parts you do play;
Lover
Enemy
Friend
The list for you goes on and on
Music, you are my counselor
You give me the guidance to get through
Road blocks and stumbles
Although you speak to me,
The world and its people don't always hear
The messages you send out
Your words pulse through me
Starting at my toes,
Then vibrates to my head
How many moods you play;
Mournful
Joyful
Outraged
The list for you goes on and on
Like a memory that keeps surfacing,
You never leave my mind
You help me think thoughts
I've never thought before
And place exciting ideas
Inside my boring head
With you I see the world
In deep and complex ways
That not a lot of people can these days
Music, you are my only hope
When God seems far, and I'm alone

Music is always there for me and always has been through my long life.
