Keep Running

SheWasTheSun

You stopped chasing me
Some time ago
But still, I run
I run from you
And I think that, probably
I will spend the rest of my time
Running
From your ghost in my bed
And from your voice in my head

Sometimes I think
Maybe you run too
Are you still running from me?

Sometimes I think
If we run long enough
Fast enough, far enough
That one day
We'll meet eachother
On the other side of the world
We'll be tired and weary
And fall into each other's arms

And maybe, we'll discover
That the new holes in our shoes
And the new scabs on our knees
Have made us better
Better for ourselves
Better for eachother

And maybe, we'll discover
That you're not a monster
And I'm not broken

And maybe, we'll discover
That we were right all along
And we are meant to be
We just needed
To run on our own
For just a little while

Or maybe not
For now
They're all still maybes
And for now
Let's keep running

If you keep running you may always run into the one that is right for you.
