Dead End

Saxon Crow

Your silent seduction is always aware

Your dark little echo a permanent friend

I try to resist you and mostly I win

But there are moments i have where i want to give in

Insidious tempter you know me so well

My own little piece of a self imposed hell

So easy to falter and give in to your call

I test my own strength amd let myself fall

You know my secret and whisper you care

But if i let you catch me i'll succumb to despair

You're a vampire, a lizard, a beauty so cold

A darkness so bright that it conquers my soul

But I always stop at the edge of my cliff

Because i won't fly if i finally give in

One day i will greet you but in a manner I choose

Because this life still has meaning that i never will lose

And when the time comes and i finally let go

It wont be because you told me so

Take comfort dear friend that i keep you so near

Because i know your secret and whisper i care
