Why

FoolishHeart

Kind words rarely leave your lips

reassurance even less

I feel as if I'm on a string

some punching bag or awful thing

when we clash beneath the sheets

the only time that our hearts meet

must you act so aloof

so hesitant to give proof

you hold me close and act one way

I know this kindness will not stay

once the heat of love is gone

an icy tongue you seem to don

Why indeed, there are good people in this world and there will be someone out there for you to spend the rest of you life with in love and happiness.
