Seasons

Amanda Ricci

As bright red leaves fall from trees,

Children play in piles on knees.

As trees grow dry and warm starts to die,

The birds sigh at the sky.

As snowflakes unfold and bring us cold,

Warmth grows tougher to hold.

As flowers grow, fireflies glow,

And sing the songs we know.

Birds swarm and remember warm,

As summer begins to form.

Angela here ! Thanks Amanda for an amazing Decet ! Four seasons in five elegant Rhyming Couplets ~ excellent ! Each couplet stimulated the senses ! Couplet 1 & 2: Autumn ~ Warmth ~ falling leaves & drying trees Couplet 3: Winter ~ Cold & Snow ! Couplet 4. Spring Warmer ~ Flowers - Fireflies & Fiesta ! Couplet 5: Summer ~ Even Warmer evidenced by Bird-song ! This Poem is a GEM !
