Four Words.

Goldfinch60

The words from his mouth

Brought joy to her world.

Once more she could go forward,

Forward into her life

With that smile on her face,

That smile that shone like a light.

She shined for me

As she said,

“I am floating high”,

She was so full

So full of life once more,

Looking around her in love,

Love of the world,

Love of all people.

And all it took was four words,

Four words to change her life

As the Doctor said to her

“You have no cancer”.

Yes, true as Alan says. A huge relief.
Meanwhile - I say four words. It plunges people into utter despair, with no hope of freedom: 'I will now sing!' lol.

As you know I was diagnosed with a cancer last year and went through chemo/radiotherapy. I know that she has endured and thankfully survived probably the biggest mental and physical battle of her life.
And yes, it certainly does change you when you have confronted how this beast can take away everything including your last breath.
I wish much joy to your friend and many years of good health ahead.

Yes I am glad that both you, d a, and her are back to good health, with any luck I will see her at the Jazz Club tomorrow where The Gaz Huges Sextet are playing Art Blakey - should be a good concert.

          • myself and me

I am so sorry for what she had been through. I am so glad that she is cancer free.
