Your death is their religion

xeina

Do you hear the gunshots?

Can you feel the bullet?

When you approached death,

Were you raised on a pulpit?

Did you die in shame-

or happiness?

Did they bury your body

with tenderness?

Did they lay your head

on your mother's chest?

Did your father cry

and start an inquest?

Did they start a revolution

painted in lurid red?

Did they build a confessional

where all the sinners pled?

Do you hear the prayers

murmured by every widow

Do you hear the chants:

"All hail the almighty hero!"

Do you hear the rumors

whispered by the dead:

"The whole world ended

In a noble bloodshed."

A dark strong hardhitting poem indeed!! Seems to be about murderers and killers, damn them. Kudos for how you wrote and expressed it in sarcastic sense. Kudos.

Pls Pleez do read and comment my newest poem too.
