Tone Deaf?

Saxon Crow

i wish i had four ears

And maybe an extra brain

Its such a little thing to ask

It's really such a pain.

I know ive got four stomachs

Because my hunger never stops

So two more ears won't make much difference

Well, i would look slightly odd

Then i could do so many things

Like listen to the sound of spring.

I'd hear the mating call of monkeys

Singing on the wind

But mainly i would listen

To more music than i do now

Because two more little extra ears

Would really help me  out

I know it sounds quite greedy

But theres a simple truth you see

Theres so much music in this big wide world

Than one pair could ever hear

Thanks SC for an interesting concept ~ an improvement on a key Human Sense ~ HEARING ! Right now Im doing TWO things simultaneously ! Listening to RADIO 3 (Bruckner - Symphony No. Eight ) and composing a Reply to your Poem. They dont clash because ONE is AURAL and the OTHER VISUAL & MENTAL i.e I couldnt watch TV and do your Poem justice @ the same time.
I love SPOTIFY but could not listen to BRYN TERFEL & BRUCKNER symultaneously unless I was a SIAMESE TWIN with FOUR EARS & (importantly) TWO seoarate BRAINS. You imply this in Line 2 No 1. Set of Ears wired to BRAIN 1. No 2. Set of Ears wired to BRAIN 2. If Im listening to the RADIO and my MOBILE RINGS ~ I have to MUTE the RADIO while I take the call. But I can watch FOOTBALL on TV (with the sound off) and have a phone conversation at the same time because I am using two different senses SIGHT & SOUND simultaneously just as when Im listening to a Football Commentary on TV. In the same way I can read Dickens and listen to Bruckner at the same time.
In short you are not just wanting MORE volume with your four EARS ~ You want to hear the BEATLES & BEETHOVEN played simultaniously without interfering with each other ! For that you would also need TWO BRAINS ! I have this vision of you with an upper & lower set of ears ~ each with separate headphones plugged into your separate Brians one BRAIN allowing you to enjoy YESTERDAY and the other BEETHOVENS 5th ~ AMEN ~ The MINDS BOGGLE !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS (Brainwise)
        Love ANGELA & BRIAN ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿงก

Bring on surround sound...... such an eerie thought though. where would you have these extra ears..... bear in mind they needn't be on show above the neckline. You could have one under each arm with earplugs discreetly auditioning music new to you whilst your original ears seek pleasure in old favourites.

I think its plain to see i am warming to your idea already.... hmmm another pair of eyes so i could watch gigs/concerts that i'd missed too.... an extra larynx so i could sing along too..... i'm getting carried away

        Dammit look what you've started.

          Two things SC
1 - I believe I know a great deal about music but the more i get to know about music the more ignorant about it I realise I am.

2 - "So much music - so little time"

Apart from four ears I need and infinite extension in my life to try and hear it all.

I have the same issue. There is always more! It baffles me considering there are only 13 notes.

The idea made me chuckle, then I thought, hell yeah.. an extra ear wouldn't go amiss would it โ€ฆ ear ear

Well I was going to ask for an extra mouth but that would just be silly!
