Blessed be the LORD, because He heard

My supplication, prayer, each word

He did to my voice attend sure

By grace came to His throne before

 

The LORD is my strength and my shield

I look to Him, my concerns yield

My heart trusted Him, helped I be

For answers to my prayers I see

 

So my heart greatly does rejoice

With song I praise Him with my voice

The LORD is our strength, He upholds

Us by saving strength in His fold

 

Save your people, LORD, and do bless

Them, they your inheritance, yes

Feed them also, lift them up e'er

Sustained by you, your life they share

    Good write but as you know in my situation that first verse is totally false.

      Thanks Gold. Sometimes I wonder - why, yes, it's easy to be happy when all is going well and thriving. The Psalmist seems to have written this AFTER some troubles, and received answers to prayer in this case. There is the 'why 'of unanswered prayer, sometimes explained that it was answered, but not how we wished or expected. Though as times the heavens seem as brass or iron - am I talking to myself, we may think?

        Thanks UNCLE STEVE ~ As usual a great uplift after a hard day ! We love the Hymn & the Poem ~ AMEN. God does HEAR our PRAYERS but we always PRAY *Thy will be done* Gods ANSWER can be YES or NO and sometimes He says WAIT ! Weve been praying for a house and GOD has answered our Prayers. We are in the process of buying a house from a Catholic Lady ~ who is moving into Sheltered Accommodation so there is no chain & no Estate Agents Fees ! When we are married we will begin to pray for a Family. Psa 28 v 6 - 7. The LORD has heard my prayer .... My Heart trusts in Him and I am helped ~ Amen.
