Global Warning

Neville

Global Warning

The moon was

Roughly

Blown off kilter

Like a silver white

Balloon

Torn free from a

Young child’s hand

Still clutching

Like

Some perfect sphere

Or silver florin

Floating

Slow but high

Across the skies

Elsewhere

A child

Is now crying huge

Pre-spring tears

Each hauled from a

Dew pit overflowing

      • Fay Slimm.

An impressive title which drew me into its powerful body - versed with lots of stings this outcry for listening ears and a warning to read over again Nev - so into my favourite list.

            how, regrettably - Poignant
these words read, dear Poet Supreme
            'Elsewhere
            A child
            Is now crying huge
            Pre-spring tears'
            hundreds of children already, murdered
            in Ukraine
            such wanton, disregard for life...
            if reposted
            I'm sure many would relate
            with how current
            these words seem..
            a Great write!
