Scars

John Prophet

As life

moves along,

choices

are made.

Choices

that alter

trajectory.

Decisions

that alter

life’s flow,

subtly or

greatly.

Choices

can leave

scars,

scars

on the soul.

Scars that

alter perception.

Scars that

alter beliefs.

Looking back,

I wonder who’d

I be had

I chosen,

differently?

    Scarface maybe LOL.

Your words today echo thoughts i have had many times but hey-ho, my decisions seemed worthy at the time. The passage of time and the benefit of hindsight however do throw quite a different hue upon things.

I think you will have many reflecting back with your piece to day.

Oh don't we all... If only we had a test run or perhaps infinite chances and choices. Great poem.

The "What if..? question is probably the most asked question in the world that can never been answered.

"What if I had not commented on your poem?"
