The place We love to WORSHIP ~ are the wide open spaces
Created in beauty ~ by the Hand of the LORD
The trees of the Forest are like Pipes of an Organ
And the wind plays a HALLELUJAH chord
Dont get us wrong ~ we love Churches too !
But they can be a little old & cold & O so dusty
And if they have been shut up all week
They can smell kinda fusty & musty !
God created a World full of beauty
The Birds & the Bees & the Fish & the Trees
And everything sings in Colorado Springs
And the Aspens in the Fall shimmer in the breeze !
The English Lake District is beautiful
Anywhere anytime anyday of the Year
But We love the Keswick Convention
And the MOODY CHORALE ~ by Lake DERWENT ~ We can hear !
So follow the *Good Book* and at Nature take a good look
And you too can Worship ~ in the Wide Open Spaces
Touched by the Hand of the Lord
And if You listen ~ You too will hear God*s Music
As the wind plays a Hallelujah Chord ~ AMEN !

In the UK 5% of the Population attend a Christian Church regularly on a Sunday ~ AMEN. This Poem is written for the other 95% half of whom believe in God but dont attend A Church or a Synagogue or a Temple or a Mosque. If one believes in God then WORSHIP ~ communing with God ~ is so important ! So get out into the Countryside and Worship God there ~ where the beauty of His Creation is all around ~ especially in Spring ! Or go into a quiet Garden & Pray ! You are nearer God*s Heart in a Garden ~ than anywhere else on EARTH ! Love to ALL ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🤍💙

LOL at the patronising preaching in this piece telling people what to do. It's worth considering that the god many readers of MPS posts believe in isn't the Christian god at all.
BRIAN HERE ~ Firtsly DA thank you for taking the time to respond to our *Song for Sunday* ! Only one in four has bothered to reply and the two so far are one FOR & one AGAINST. There is a paradox 50 % of the UK population saying they believe in GOD but only 5% regularly attending a Christian Church on a Sunday. In my Poem (and the Song by Roy & Dale Rogers) I am sugesting that you dont have to go to Church to Worship God you can in fact Pray & Sing to God (Singly & Collectively) anywhere in the Universe ! Buzz Aldrin (A Presbytarian Elder) celebrated Communion on the Moon ~ AMEN).
Angela & I find it a reflection on Modern Society that Members can write a poem full of obscenities and not be castigated ~ but a wholesome poem like ours is ridiculed (LOL) and castigted as patronising ! poems on Healthy Physical Living (diet - exrcising etc) are not so castigated. It seems that Spiritual (Christian) Poems are resented by some members. Incidently We were very Ecumenical in our poem and mentioned Synagogues - Mosques & Temples etc. Thanks for shating your thoughts it made us think!

A fine write A&B. Oh, we had small restrictions at Communion, for our own good. No handshakes at the Peace, but small bow to one another with hands together, as if a monk or nun! Or slight nudge with the arm, or even small friendly kick was allowed! Also 'receiving in one kind only' - no wine!

Thanks Uncle Steve Pleased you enjoyed it ! CARONAVIRUS is driving a VIRAL STEAMROLLER through evertthing. We are praying that it wont steamroller the OLYMPICS in JAPAN ! We are having COMUNION tonight but we have individual (minute) glasses for the WINE and we dont do the PEACE ! I was a Greeter this morning & everyone shook my hand - I was wearng my GOAL KEEPING GLOVES (Joke ?). Our Poem this Morning was Spiritual (Although a tad Pantheistic & Ecumenical) so I am expecting some NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ~ but as you know it Blesses US !

Thanks B&A. Well, I saw a supermarket assistant at the till with some rubber glove thingys on. Will hugs be acceptable instead? There's the hand-shaking thing even without any health scare. We'll get paranoid!
Oh, no Peace? You all fighting like cat and dog? But no, course not! Sometimes it can be a façade - all smile sweetly (not through gritted teeth) and shake hands. Ooh, it put that thing in under the 'c' of façade! Magic!
As I walk with nature I also walk with My Spirit but it is now not the Christian spirit it is My Spirit.
I have come to the conclusion that christianity and all organised religions are a farce and behave in a shameful way in trying to get people to believe in a false way of life so full of lies.
