Power

Rein Armstrong

We all scream with silence,

Accused of violence

Shunned by politics -

But even stones and sticks,

Can’t put out this fire,

This; uncontrollable desire.

A passion we feel,

For justice - It's real!

When you say our voice is powerless,

Do you not see that’s just cowardice,

Repressing this truth, this pride,

No secret you can hide.

That fear you’ve always accomplished

Through arrogance, never diminished,

This passion, exerted,

Never diminished - hope deserted.

Don't let people diminish your power,

Let your voice out;    L-O-U-D-E-R

Scream from the rooftops,

Scream from your hearts,

Scream with hope,

Scream with justice,

Scream together.

Reveal your power.

That power may be concealed but there are those who show their power only to be silenced by those who are in charge and will not agree to any change.
