Insidious
All that exists
Between
My night and
Your day
Now hangs in
The balance
A broad circle
Of insidious
Shifting
Light shadows
And
Very few of
Them are Smiling
How on earth
Did all that
Happen
How did our love
Become
So fragile
Like a spent
Chrysalis
Amid so much
Suffering
When and where
Did we go wrong

I doubt she will answer you with honesty. They like to come across as enigmatic... so be prepared to hear that she doesn't like your after-shave any longer.
Interesting read to play with ones mind. I felt left suspended in mid air.... will we see a resolving piece from you?
You're being enigmatic now though.
Hello DA my fine literary friend.. Many thanks for visiting these words.. I kind off like the fact you felt suspended, I just hope you were not left feeling too frustrated by them, in the absence of a definitive answer, or conclusion.... I like enigmas......Take care and stay well..... Neville

Thanking you Orchidee and true... or false as the case may be, maybe..... Stay both well and safe Steven...

The fragility of love can be so unreal and so misunderstood Neville.

Impressive imagery used in the doleful unfinishment of this reflective poem - - love has a habit of ending this way my friend.................

Life is a series of changes. All things are in motion, uncontrollably. Love can grow or fade depending on how life and people change. The pain is a product of Love's depth. All love is not the same, some feel it more deeply than others. Your poem stages the "suffering" felt by one who loved intensely. No one went wrong. It's just one of life's changes, but it still hurts. _ Phil A.
thank you kindly Phil,
stay safe...
