Tune: Doncaster
('Put thou thy trust in God')
Habakkuk* 3 v.16-19
*'Habba-cook': Old Testament prophet
**********
Though we not come so far
Extinguished not our star
Yet Habakkuk his prayer did say
When he in desperate days
Though fig tree not blossom
No fruit there, not e'en some
Nor grapes in the vine, olive tree
Is barren and bare, see
And if fields no food yield
Not restored and not healed
And flock be cut off from the fold
Not one sheep there be told
And no herd in the stalls
The earthly scene appals
Yet will he, prophet, still rejoice
In the LORD, He his choice
God of his salvation
And unto each nation
The LORD God, he his strength, He will
Uphold prophet's way still
So as prophet of old
Keep us, we in your fold
Act for ur good, mercy and grace
And your love may we trace
Trusting you will provide
Help us not hoard or hide
But share with needy, may day dawn
Soon, your restoring morn

Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold. I realise the questions about 'why' some things happen, that a God could prevent, and vice versa. We (or I) may draw a blank in some, or many things, and have to say 'I don't know why'. I trust this is my view, otherwise I'm writing a load of fiction.
