THIS POEM ~ Asks what makes People Happy in the five European Countries we are most familiar with ? Spain (Felicidad) Portugal (Felicidade) Italy (Felicita) France (Bonheur) Germany (Gluck). In all these Countries Happiness comes from Music - Dancing - Food & Drink - Love & Sport and also the CLIMATE.

Took more than MONEY to make us HAPPY !
FELICIDAD (Spain) a Happy Country !
Spaniards have a lot to be Happy about.
Football - Food - Flamenco ~ Sun - Sand - Sangria
Wine ~ like Rioja Tinta with Tapas !
FELICIDADE (Portugal) ~ another
Very Happy Country with huge Coastline !
Very Welcoming ~ Music & Dancing
Sport - Sunshine - Vino Verde & Port Wine !
FELICITA (Italy) Famous for
Art & Architecture ~ Summer / Winter
Sports ~ Lemons - Pasta - Olive Oil - Chianti
Opera & Carnivals in Venice !
BONHEUR (France) Famous for Sport ~ Football &
Skiing - Cycling - Cuisine ~ Vin et Fromage !
A meal anytime in France = HAPPINESS !
And PARIS ~ Art - Music & Haute Couture
GLUCK (Germany) We are all familiar
Mit Gluckwein und Bratwurst ~ at the
Christmas Markets ! But the Germans ~ Sing &
Dance their Happiest at Beer Festivals ~ AMEN !

I'm going to be a fly in the ointment, and say 'Of course he was happy, laughing at the taxman!' Fido is annoyed at him. I mean, you and others do pay their taxes. Why didn't he? Well, he did not take it with him. Rant over!
But good poem and song. Let's hope we can visit it these and many other places again soon.
Thanks for your droll comment UNCLE STEVE ! All the Lads in Walton Jail were very disappoited when KEN wasn*t sent down he would have cheered the place up ! You have to remember that in Liverpool transactions are not done byt CHEQUE or Credit Card but in *Used (and often forged) Fivers & Tenners* These NOTES are never paid into Banks but hidden in suitcases under the Bed. Ken recorded His earnings as £10 a week on which he was below the tax bracket. In essence he was earning £1000 per week ! In the 1960s this put Him in the supa tax bracket. He lived & died a very simple life in the House he was born in. He married His GF of 40 years a few weeks before he died so she got all the Money and not the Taxman ! He was a Devout Anglican & a Member of Liverpool Cathedral ! I am sure European Travel will be available again next year but we will need a visor !

ANGELA HERE - GOOD MORNING FAY - Being half-Spanish (I have a Spanish Passport !) and having been raised and educated in London I have an understanding of two of the greatest Civilizations in Europe. Brian is also a 100% European and we can converse in all the languages cited above and have great fun especially on the German Day. When the dust settles we will go to another Beer Festival. Europe is the most beautiful and diverse Continentl on Planet Earth and for Brits it is so so acessible ! Brian & I are very proud to say *Ich Bin Ein European* AMEN ! Please pray for ME as I go back to work in the Hospital on Monday !
