AMERICANS are always fascinated by our small & compact & Open All Hours Corner Stores ~ some of which have operated on the same site for hundreds of years. There always used to be a tortoiseshell Cat sitting on a Sack of Spuds ~ butter as in a great slab & cut and wrapped in greaseproof paper and sugar weighed into a paper bag. Now they are more hygienic but less fun ! There was always time for a chat with other Customers & the Boss ! I an strange way COVID 19 has given them a bit of a boost !
T heres always a Corner Store ~ in every little

A fine write A&B.
A query - where it says 'Christ has become the corner-stone', is it the corner/foundation stone of a building; or the capstone/headstone, in the middle of an arch, holding the arch together?
The KJV favours the former, though I think it could mean both.
MORNING UNCLE STEVE ~ Pleased you enjoyed the Post ~ Angela is working on the Orthopedic Ward not dirctly with C - 19 Patients. The CORNER STONE is a good simile because in essence He upholds the Human Race & the Universe etc etc. When talking to Teens I use the example of the CAP/HEADSTONE because it is easy to illustrate & demonstrate ~ how it takes the pressure from both Sides. You will be interested to know we have statred Cyber Bible Studies & Prayer Meetings in our Church. We use ZOOM. US which enables us to be mute or audio when we participate. At the moment the weekday schedule (8 - 9 pm) is MONDAY ~ BS on the Lords Prayer ~ TUESDAY Prayer Meeting ~ WEDNESDAY ~ BS on the Gospel of Mark ~ AMEN ! We had 16 on line last night aged from 16 to 86 !
Blessings & Joy to You & Your Pious Pooch !
Love int Spirit ~ BRIAN & ANGELA ๐๐๐๐๐
I knows the Zoom.us - do I?! Well, they all turns it mute when I appears on there and sings! heehee.
Me again. Today's Bible Study! A hymn seems to have both for good measure:
'Christ is made the sure foundation,
Christ the head [stone] and corner stone'.
Super write A and B, those corner shops were so important in our lives and in many villages they (and the pub) were the heart and soul of the village . Such a shame they are disappearing.

GOOD MORNING UNCLE ANDY ~ Yes indeed ~ even 30 yeras ago in the 1980s (I was 7 in 1990) they were more prolofic thn they are today ! Compared with the *CORNER SHOP* Supermarkets are very impersonal and all very similar ~ apart from price. Angela have access to ALDI & ICELAND & a smaller COOP all of which give value for MONEY. The Post Office is a newsagent & Off-license and does sell bread & milk etc so these are or main sources of Food. We also have a local Deli. Village Pubs are also being Sanitised but we did enjoy a Pub Meal which along with so many of lifes little treats is now verboten. Grandparents and the 85+ say in some ways its WORSE THAN WW2 ! In the CHURCH we are having Prayer Meetings & Bible Studies on-line using ZOOM-US its working quite well ! We have lots of books and we are both very competative @ SCRABBLE so time passes. ANGELA is @ work on the ORTHOPEDIC WARD & Post Operative Physio as & when required !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
Love BRIAN & ANGELA ๐๐๐๐๐
