Sheep Selected

Tune: Monks Gate

('He who would valiant be')

Matthew 25 v.34-40

*********

At Judgement, King will say

Come, you blessed today

You sheep at my right hand

Gathered from each land

You of my Father blessed

Now midst heavenly guests

Share in eternal bliss

Ready now, all this

The kingdom inherit

With lasting light lit

It prepared for you here

Its fullness you share

Ready since foundation

Of the world for each one

Has it been, sheep come in

For here be no sin

For I was hungry, you

Gave me food anew

I was thirsty, and you

Gave me to drink too

I was a stranger here

You helped me, calmed my fear

Took me in, gave shelter

Kindness not defer

I needed clothes, your aid

Garments me arrayed

I was sick, you did see

Came to visit me

I was in prison bound

You came to me, me found

You did these things to lest

Now come, share my feast

Christ you did not ignore

But served Him for sure

When e'en you unto one

Of the least, deed done

Happy your hears be e'er

You did show love and care

Rejoice, you good, faithful

You obeyed Christ's call

I dunno Orchi, you christians are a questionable lot. In the bible thers something about not making brazen images of god yet here you are putting words in his mouth 'A judgement King will say' etc...
The original 'he who would valliant be' was of course a fav choice in school assemblies all across the country back in the day. Yes i was brought up as a christian.

Thanks Dusk. I try the mild approach, maybe I'm too soft at times. I'm going by Jesus' words in this parable here of what we believe will happen. I mean, as it reads:' At Judgement, then comma, King will say....'
