Love's Effect.
There's a certain gleam of shadow
highlights part of his face
that dusk tints,
like gradations
thru' love's ever changing rainbow.
No one could gainsay love's effect
for 'tis the ultimate gift
yet almost
heaven's affliction,
as taking it leaves me breathless.
