LOCKDOWN ~ Its driving everyone *Stair Crazy* cant visit yer Granny - the Park - the Flicks or even McDonalds ! We are all starved of Social Intercourse because of the *Six Foot Rule* Next thing is we*ll all be wearing Canadian Bear Bells !
HUMANS are very Sociable Beings ~ we all need
To socialise ~ to play - to hug - to drink - to breed
TOGETHER ~ Like Birds of a Feather !
Into the Hills or onto the Beach
Any Wide Open Spaces ~ that we can reach
TOGETHER ~ whatever the Weather !
We gather in Churches ~ to Sing & to Pray
We gather in Dance Halls ~ to Swing & to Sway
TOGETHER ~ we*ll be parted never !
Schools are great places where our Kids can LEARN
Fact*ries & Shops where oor Folks can EARN
TOGETHER ~ Learnin* & Earnin* ~ we go Hell for Leather
We all love Sport ~ Tennis - Swimmin* an* Football
Which we play TOGETHER ~ sharin* oor Footfall
TOGETHER ~ will we give it up ? NEVER !
COVID 19 ~ spreads through contact ~ so please ISOLATE
Stay in your HOME ~ chat on the PHONE ~ dont CONGREGATE
LIVE APART ! It breaks my Heart ~ how did it Start ?
I guess it spread from George then to Ruth then to Fred (ill in bed !)
Because we were TOGETHER ~ forever whatever the Weather !
Thanks for visitin* comments welcome ~ love Brian & Angela ๐งก๐ค๐
We both love this song by Gilbert O*Sullivan ~ it drips with the Pathos that is needed at this very testing time. It deals with the loneliness after Death ~ which thousands are now facing ~ and also the sad aftermath of being *Jilted @ the Altar !* Angela & I were fortunate to be able to *Tie the Knot* just before the Axe fell ~ although on a much reduced scale ! However it does pose the QUESTION ~ will all the postponed Weddings actually survive the Lockdown ? We all enjoyed the uplifting message ~ last night ~ straight from Heart of Our Queen Elizabeth II ~ AMEN !

A fine write A&B.
Fido is on his best guard-dog behaviour, if anyone gets too close to me - Woof!
A few people forget to distance still. The alarm bells ring in our head - 'SAY something, or DO something quick!'
You on a Virgin Train? Oh, vigintrain - what is it?!.
Hi Uncle Steve - Angela here (on Tea Break @ end of Clinic) Two weeks too late for me to be a VIRGIN ! If your remember Your French VIGNT is the French for 20 from the Latin VIGINTI so a VIGINTRAIN is a Poem with 20 lines ~ OK Pleased you enjoyed Our Poem about Social Distancing !
Blessings To You & your Distancing Dog

Great messages here - will they all listen?
ANGELA HERE - HI UNCLE MIKE - Un;ess they have visited a Hospital lately - the *Public* have no idea the Pressure we are under just to keep in equlibrium. The whole idea of LOCK DOWN is to flatten the curve of those inflicted with CORVID 19 each day to enable us to cope - OK. It is a logical constraint to apply ! However there are always those whose Mantra is *Laws were made to be broken & dont apply to me* It the NHS is to survive (and not break under the strain ) we must all TRUST & OBEY - AMEN.
Blessings to You & Yours

Yes always together whatever the weather - You outlined the predicament of society so well here dear duo - we all have to grin and bear it together for a while to fight this vile virus and as our monarch said - "we will win" -- great that you chose one of my favorite singer-players whom I have sadly neglected for ages - always loved Gilbert 'O Sullivan's appealing songs and good to read the words as he sang it. Keep taking care and stay well .................... x Fay
Thanks for your Comment FAY ~ and your appreciation of Gilberd *O* WE thought *Alone Again Naturally* was a fitting tribute to all the elderly Shutins without a Garden ! Angela & I are fortunate to be Married & have a nice Garden ! When will it ever end ? I do worry about Angela but the Orthopedic Ward and the Physio Unit are in a separate building from the ICU.
Blessings & peace & joy
Love B & A ๐๐๐๐๐
