Desolate and empty,
Forlorn and isolated, the streets of Wembley.
People at a distance two metres apart,
Outside under government guidelines, purpose fulfilled they depart.
The Wembley skyline and landscape so sad, has seen happier days,
The world is imprisoned in this Covid 19 haze.

- Comment from author about the poem: Covid 19 is certainly challenging. I have never witnessed a pandemic quite like this. The immediate world around us how barren it is. Keep fit, healthy, safe and well everyone during these difficult times ahead. FineB

Yes, a true write Fine. But watch out for places, e.g. small shops, or larger ones even. People can be too close at times still - a nightmare!
Many thanks Orchidee.
The small shops worry me at times. One has to be a bit ruthless in keeping one's distance. Its not rudeness its self preservation and health.
Keep healthy and writing.

Thanks Fine. I think a Security Guard moved away from the shop entrance for a few moments, where he was regulating numbers of people in the shop. There seemed an awful lot of people in a small shop. Watch out for queue jumpers too, in spaced out queues. A few selfish people make it worse for the rest of us.
Good Evening FINE B ~ Thamks for a fine Poem about the dire effects of SHUTDOWN on every aspect of Life. It is Easter Weekend and all Branches of the Worldwide Christian Curch should have been buzzin and the Churches full to overflowing. We did our best with ZOOM & the WEB etc and National TV (BBC) has aired lots of Spiritual Programs for those *stuck @ home !*
Blessings & Peace & Joy
Love Angela & Brian 💛💛💛💛
Good evening Angela and Brian.
I saw on the BBC news in Italy and other places tthat hey were preaching the Christian message to empty churches and places of worship but also via social media. In Germany, one place they were preaching in a drive in car park.
One advantage of social media we can Christ's message alive at all times through this medium.
Thanks for reading.
God is in control and is good in spite of all chaos at present around us.
Keep healthy and writing.

So true, it is so odd to look down empty streets.
