Tune: Leibster Jesu
('Dearest Jesu, we are here')
**********
Lord you call us, here partake
Of the rich feast that you do make
For you the bread of life be
And living water, e'en to me
Feed us, guide us, grace supplying
You giver of every good thing
We come to you, hearts prepare
In Communion we a share
Have, by you strengthened, sustained
By no merits of our own gained
But our trust is in you alone
For 'tis only you who atone
Hope of sins forgiven, we
Believe you did there on the tree
The cross, where your life you gave
Us sinners to redeem and save
This the gospel message ever
Steadfast, sure, unchanging never
Your people, your church you build
We offer ourselves to you, yield
Show us your way, your will true
Give grace and daily us renew
Onwards, constant, loving, serving
All our worship to you we bring

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 7.8.7.8.8.8. metre. In the tune name, if respectfully, it's 'Dearest Jesu, we are not here in person, but we are online!' A new hymn tune name?
