Gray

clarissavibes

Confused and cautious, broken and brave

I don’t know exactly what is wrong

But I can feel the muddiness of uncertainty

Murky and fluid like a jellyfish

Just begging for direction

Grasping at reality

Happy and humble, smiling and shy

There are glimpses of the past, glimpses of his core

Beneath his battered shell

No one sees it but me

No one sees the cracks and the chips

The dusty, crumbling plaster

Watching and waiting, hoping and helpless

Something isn’t right

I can almost put my finger on it, grab it

Then it slips away and my stomach drops

Because there is nothing I can do

I need to save him, from what, I do not know

These things come into our lives where we struggle to help, never give up though as your trying to help is invaluable and will be successful one day.
