In a Canal

My_Brain

How deep is a canal?

How wide does it run?

How far can it go?

From one ocean to another

that's what I'd hope,

her heart pumps stories and metaphors of love,

I listen and she says that love connected

her to him

like a canal between their two oceans.

One heart to another.

I hope that this canal is wide enough

it will never be blocked

by things that try to fall in the way,

maybe its deep enough

it can never be crossed

or taken over,

and if that canal runs long enough

maybe the oceans can just stay

connected

forever.

May that canal be forever connected and run free.
