When I say I love you, I am not ashamed,
nor will anyone ever come close to intimidating or persuading me otherwise.
I wear you on my sleeve for everyone to admire,
I spread out my love like a peacock showing its tail feathers, I show you off in all of your glory and magnificence.
I see you in every weather,
In the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the snowflake, I feel you.
And I hope that one day, I will find you and I will know. I will know that it is you and it will always be you.
And we will look back on our first love letter, and we will smile at the youthful ignorance of my words, but know now that I mean them, I mean them all.

- Comment from author about the poem: I don’t have a lover yet, I’m 18, I don’t need to decide who I want to spend my life with, not yet anyway. But this is for them when I do. This is for him.

Such pure and intense feeling in your words. Much enjoyed.
You have your life ahead of you and when that person comes into your life there will be no doubt that it will be forever.
