Tune: St Fulbert
('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')
Psalm 104 v.1-5
********
Bless the LORD, O my soul, Him bless
And Hs good name confess
He is very great, and is clothed
With majesty bestowed
And honourable too He be
Covers self with light, see
As if a garment, so He wears
Light, none with Him compares
He stretches out heavens, outlaid
They as curtains displayed
He founded the depths, the waters
Made from His treasure stores
He makes the clouds His chariot
His greatness not forgot
He walks upon the wind, its wings
To Him creation sings
He makes His angels spirits pure
They Him worship, adore
They His ministers, servants are
Made by Him flames of fire
He laid foundations of the earth
Brings all things new to birth
So it is staid, and not removed
His power He has proved

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. I used the same tune a couple of day ago, but wrote this poem outside of the Easter season. Here is a different clip with it. Another ancient hymn, as St Fulbert was around circa 1028, so original hymn is nearly 1,000 years old.
