Wonder and Delight.

Goldfinch60

My River flowing gently by my side

So clear, like shear green glass.

The trees and shrubs

Lining its sides with new leaves,

As the wonder of Spring turns,

Turns towards summer,

And the beauty becomes highlighted,

Highlighted by the sun’s rays,

Shining down on nature’s glory

And into My Life with My River.

Two swans fly passed me

And gently sail onto My River,

Their majestic beauty there for me

As they float by my side.

I hear the call “Teacher, teacher”

And there above me I see it,

I see the beautiful black and yellow bird

Teaching me the glory of nature.

I am so alive in body and soul

As I walk along My River

With nature surrounding me,

Surrounding me with such wonder,

Such wonder and delight.

Lovely write Gold. Yes, did you need to 'get your coat' for the walk? I do some days still. It's been unusual shirt-sleeves walks some days, and only April. then two days later(after about a week of sunshine) I wished I had worn my gloves!
I saw swans with 7 babies, then geese with 12 babies. Lovely!

Thank you Orchi. Yes the days do seem to change frequently but I have not resorted to gloves yet. I have only seen ducklings so far, it is so good to see new life.

I thought I was at the end of my 'gloves-wearing season'. Hope I am soon! It's the first bit of me that feels the cold - me hands!

Nature does seem to be flourishing in these times where homo sapiens is being kept away from it. It is wonderful to walk amongst it.

We should all go to visit our river from time to time. As if I was there too. Beautiful.
