Lunar Being

sylviasearcher

Last night Lunar delivered me

A place where I was dancing free

Anonymous and undefined

Wild with possibility

She whispered in my ear

Excitement thrilling, chilling, near

A new dawn could be descending

Full of hope and far from here

De de de. De de de.

A repetitive mechanic jolted me awake

Desperately I fought, what consciousness wished to take

Eyes shut tight, seeking promised land

But instead another dawn drags and scratches at my hand

I mourn my happily ever after

And rise to one more groundhog chapter

Half dead and anticipating  end of day

When Lunar promises to entice and play

Why must the morn cut short the seeing

The moment I become my Lunar being?

Lunar bring you such a wonderful dream. Who wouldn't want to stay there longer?

This write with its lilting pathos must be one of your best yet Sylvia - - I love the flow and rhyme of that final question.

It happens so often that in the realms of a dream heading for that wonderful ending when you awake and the dream remains a figment of imagination. Wonderful words sylvia.

I sometimes wonder if there is a reason for that. Like I am being shown something by my sub consciousness?
