Wishful Thinking

I wish we were together. I wish I could hold you. I wish I could kiss you. I wish I could love you the way I'd want to. I wish I could be there for you. I wish I could show you how much I love you. I wish I could take you out on dates. I wish I could call you in the mornings and at night. I wish I can be there to support you with your hopes and dreams. I wish that one day, I can call you my wife. As much as I would want to wish for these things, wishes unfortunately never come true.

I hope that we can become closer than we are now. I hope that we are able to stay in each others lives. I hope that you actually love me, even if it's not the same way as I love you. I hope that our friendship can grow stronger. I hope that one day you'll find someone who can give you the things that I couldn't. I hope that person makes you happy in every way possible. I hope that person treats you like the queen that you are. I hope that as the days, weeks, months, and years go by, I hope… I honestly hope that no matter what, we'll be there for each other.
