Lift up your heads, O gates

Your great King, He awaits

To enter in His city bright

Dispelling all dark, night

And be lift up, yo doors

Hear our prayers, our implores

You everlasting doors be raised

The city's king be praised

 

Psalm 24 v.8-11

Who is this King, who He?

The King of glory, see

The LORD strong and mighty He be

Enemies 'fore* Him flee  (*=before)

He mighty in battle

Does defeat His foes all

He LORD of hosts of endless power

His reign shall ever flower

 

Psalm 25 v.1-2

Unto you, LORD I lift

My soul, you give each gift

And grace, O God,  I trust in you

Come inspire me anew

Let not my enemies

Triumph, you each one sees

Grant me your aid, your victory

Undeserving mercy

 

Psalm 25 v.10-11

All paths of the LORD be

Of truth and of mercy

To such as keep His covenant

And testimonies sent

For your name's sake pardon

My sin, Lord, you the one

In whom forgiveness can be found

Praises to you redound

LORD, the habitation

You chose it in Zion

Jerusalem, your city where

Your presence biding there

I have loved this your place

Where you dwell by your grace

The house wherein your honour sure

And glory is e'ermore

 

Psalm 27 v.1

The LORD He is my light

My hope through the dark night

He my salvation, I not fear

For I know He is near

He of my life the strength

Throughout its entire length

Whom shall I fear, your presence dear

Shall keep me always here
