Tune: Randolph
('God be with you till we meet again')
********
Psalm 27 v.1
The LORD, He my light, my salvation
This good news to every nation
Whom shall I fear? He my strength too
In Him I my confidence renew
Psalm 27 v.4
One thing of the LORD I have desired
This my longing, this my heart fired
This will I seek, that I may dwell
In His house for ever, of Him tell
Psalm 27 v.4
There I may the LORD's beauty behold
Enquire in His temple, His fold
Gathered there His people Him praise
To Him they sing, and Him worship raise
Psalm 27 v.14
Wait on th LORD, be of courage good
He shall strengthen your hear and should
Help you, keep you under His wing
Unto Him your thankful offerings bring
Psalm 28 v.7
The LORD is my strength, He is my shield
I did trust in Him, to Him yield
My heart in Him trusted, and so
I greatly rejoice, His help I know
Psalm 28 v.8
The LORD is His people's strength, we see
And strength of His anointed be
Christ His Son, the true Messiah
He commissioned by His Father sure
Psalm 28 v.9
Save your people, LORD, and do them bless
Your inheritance, they confess
You are their LORD, you do them feed
Shepherd, you lift them up, meet their need

Thanks N. Lines 1 and 4 of the original are the same. I suppose I could have followed that pattern, but have done AABB rhyme. A favourite of mien from Primary School. I won't forget it from our final Assembly there - Oh about 10 million years ago then! Nearly every time I sing it, I get a twinge emotionally - not rheumatically!
BRIAN HERE = GOOD EVENING ~ UNCLR STEVE ~ Love the Hymns we often sing it round an OPEN GRAVE when a Believer has gone to be *Forever with the Lord* AMEN. Thanks for selections from the PSALMS always an uplift !
Blessings & Joy to You & Misery Mutt !

Thanks A&B. Well, Fido don't allow too much 'ardour', so he may appear miserable at times. lol.
