Zest.
Walking his tight-rope
night falls just when dawn
flutters her eyeshades
and launches first glow.
Glimmers of fervour
force ray-shards to climb
and undress shadows
then zest-halo bursts.
Glinting with shimmer
full-light shakes awake
and gleam stirs desire
for day to wear glitter.
Applauding insistence
I catch dawn's blushing
as she faces Sol's door
with passion unkissed.

ANGELA HERE - Good Afternoon FAY - Thanks for a wonderful Poem to lift our Spirits on a Boris Blurred Lockdown Sunny Sunday Afternoon !
ZEST is an awesome word almost oneamatopaic ! Lots of synonyms some of SAVOUR (Relish - Flavour - Piquancy) and some of ZING (Gusto - Tang - Joie de Vivre). My MAMA isnt Spanish but she loves Citrus Fruits and grated their rind (ZEST) into Drinks - Puddings - Cakes & Biscuits etc.
Love the similie in the Poem - Dawn as a zest-halo as Hermano Sol bursts through the darkness & the clouds to herald a NEW DAY - AMEN.
We are not posting toay but have posted a New Fusion *What have you Learned from Lockdown ?* Please add a POEM ~ Thanks A !
Blessings & Peace & Joy
