Timed.

Fay Slimm.

Timed.

The sea today is blue-gray with streaks

of pale gilding frothing lace over

low tide's exposed cobbled reaches.

Yet on distant sand banks time turns

as greeny-weed flats slacken and

sheets of creeping saline wet dry fur.

Push rotates rattle and wavelets spill

increasing cream when riding high

breakers while bouldered retainers fill.

Stranded kelp in murky pool harbour

stirs as gulls readily beak among

boat-sway to seek opened barnacles.

Feeling the draw of natural backward

and forward I walk shores finding

all footfalls must yield to timed action.

This is equal to holding a conch shell to your ear and hearing the ocean Fay. Excellent.

    Ex animo, Alan

    • Fay Slimm.

What a kindly comparison you make about shells to ears and my humble words - many thanks Alan and hope you are keeping well and safe in your neck of the woods.

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

Good Afernoon Fay - Angela here - No Clinics this afternoon so Ive been to the E Coast with BR IAN with a PIC-NIC and to meditate on your Tone Poem ! We love your use of WORDS our Poems tend to be more concrete

      V 1. Gliding frothing lace
      v 2. Greeny-weed flats
      V 3. Increasing cream
V 4. Stranded kelp in fast pooling harbour
V 5. All footfalls must yield to tidal action
Perfect word selection - Rhythm eclipsing Rhyme !

We are working on a *Tone Poem* on *Waterfalls* which we hope will be more LYRICAL & less SCIENTIFIC

      Blessings & Peace & Joy
      Love Angela & Brian 💛💛💛
