There was that sound,
The first notes that took me,
Took me to my world,
My world of Star Trek.
There on the stage
Was the orchestra,
Then the young lady.
From her mouth came the tune,
The tune that has been with me,
With me for over fifty years.
Her voice so wonderful
Took me to those places,
Those places where no one,
No one has gone before.

- Comment from author about the poem: I came across this video and just had to write something about it. I am a Trekkie and have been since the first series started in 1966.

A fine write Gold.
People go to places they have never gone before, or rather are forced to them, when they hear my singing - the padded cells! Not that they are crazy, but to not hear me. lol.
Thanks Orchi, those padded cells can be quite comfortable though.

In space, no one can hear you scream? Is that why astronauts when back to Earth, when you and I met them on the Moon? Cos I started singing?!
I can understand where ya coming from and although not a big fan.. I am amazed and impressed that the show has been running for that long... it seems that final frontier is nowhere yet in sight...โฆ
