Tune: St Timothy
('O Holy Ghost, thy people bless')
John 14 v.6-11
********
Jesus the Life, the Truth, the Way
He be so every day
No one unto the Father may
Come, but through Christ the Way
Philip there said, Lord to us show
The Father, so we know
Him, that for us will satisfy
For we shall know Him nigh
Jesus said, Philip have I been
With you, yet you not seen
Nor known me, for who has seen me
Sees the Father, so be
Believe you it not that I be
In the Father? Here see
That the Father is in me too
He revealed unto you
For I do not my own words speak
But Father's will I seek
And say His words and do His deeds
Not my own wants and needs
The Father in me works His deeds
By His Spirit me leads
Believe this of me, or believe
For deeds' sake, no deceive

just goes to show how ignorant I am about your scriptures orchidee,
I never heard mention of a Philip in the Bible before, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
Neville
Thanks Neville. Philip was one of the 12 disciples, but one of the lesser-mentioned ones. Bit like the Lesser-Spotted Gull maybe? (I'm talking rubbish again on that last bit!).
maybe but I am learning something new on a reasonably regular basis .. so dont beat yourself up 🙂
Yep, it's educational on 'ere, we know! lol.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
