Nob Hill Hotel Ca

Neville

Nob Hill Hotel Ca

The bellhop boy

Smiled and grasped

The day with both hands

He wore his

Uniform loud and he never

Chewed gum on a Sunday

That’s just

The way it always was

In the good old days

It still is on

Nob Hill and Fairmont

San Francisco  …

Memories of standing room only on a street car named disgusting. Drawn alongside chauffer driven Mrs Drippen-Gold. It must be sunday, the conductors gum languishes by the bell push.

Atmospheric stuff revealing your pampered past luxury hotel living? Or a stark contrast to reality?

You can beat an egg, but good memories are hard to beat... and as to the question in question...

the answer is unashamedly a bit of both really... Thanking you kindly DA

Some places will never change as some people cannot afford to get to them.

there is maybe some truth in what you say but I certainly dont feel guilty for having been able to afford going to such places... cheers GF60

I too have enjoyed the Fairmont several times, and the regality and pageantry is once represented.
            Thanks for the memories.
