Gaze upon days so gone,
indistinguishable right from wrong,
no choice but to say so long,
acknowledge your brain isn’t home,
after all it is consciousness we roam,
halt watch as life doesn’t slow,
wonder where it may go?,
that path is up to our own,
free from shackles life alone,
so sickness must be all we know?,
I choose to believe in hope,
even in the darkest abyss light can still show
