The Path of Destiny

gerrylegister

The loneliness, the fear, the dread

That has been there all along.

The constant voices in your head,

you have lived with them far too long.

All you have ever known is this war,

the emotions of an endless battle.

Wanting it to end much sooner

and wish that it were not so cruel.

Why can't the best solution be easy?

Why do I have to keep searching?

to find happiness and security

At times when life is most demanding.

To be strengthened to be charmed,

I am exhausted, weak, and weary.

If I could just lay down in someone's arm

and let this battle fall silently around me?

And into space fled

My soul would have the victory,

And dread not the things that are ahead,

Which lies in the path of destiny.

May those things ahead of you become light and meaningful soon, each new day can be wonderful
