Can't seem to find my peace of mind,
With the Earthly World still trying to get me all entwined,
When I was young,
my momma would say,
Well life is hard
but that's okay,
If you can make it through the day,
It’s not that far Jesus
bridged it all the way,
If I was cast out on the sea,
Would you come and look for me,
Or would you just let me sink beneath the waves so blue,
Eyes close, dreamin' of the better days gone by,
Gonna lay my burden down give it to Lord; and die,
Let the Lord lift me up on High,
Take me off the ground within the twinkle of an eye,
When Jesus calls me home to the other side,
He'll pull my Soul all way up High
When I wake; the trumpets sound off to play,
And I'm standing with All of you at the Pearly Gates,
And I'm not coming back to this Earth its way too far,
Until we all return with Jesus sitting way up on His Steed so High,
Fall down on my knees with joy to cry tears of Love for Him you see,
I know my race has just been won; nothing to do but Sing Praises Of My King Jesus for Eternity and a Day!

And what, so far, has jesus or god done for you?
Or on the other side of it, what harm has jesus or god done to mankind since you've been alive?
Weigh it up. Why do you hold them up in such high esteem? Cos you was made afraid as a child, just cos mamma believed in them so much?

Wow, I can feel the pain in your post. So let me answer as we all have to find our own answers to what this life brings us everyday all throughout our time here on Earth.
Yes I was raised to be a Catholic, yet became disillusioned with them after asking my own Dad questions to only be told go ask the \"father\" (priest). Then to go onto read books on most all the major religions including Jewish, Christian, Islam, Buddhism, even Wicca, etc. When I seen some of the atrocities all of them have committed at one time or another I felt more disillusioned. So I asked God if He was in secular history for me to see for myself in His glory I would then become a Lover of Him for Life. I have seen many examples of the Biblical Narrative being right (in the archeological record) so I became a Believer of Him & know that all Good things flow from Him.
Death is Death we all die because of us, it is all on us not God/Jesus/His Holy Spirit it is all of our own fault. Yes even you & me & all. When I want to change evil I go to the mirror change it there first as I am Not a \"good\" person. Jesus said as much when he was here the first time, He replied to the apostle asking Him \"good\" master, He said \"No one is good only the Father in His Kingdom.\"
Point being what would I say or do if in George Floyd\'s position of being murdered by the very same ones meant to protect & serve! Cry like a baby for my life is what I would do, beg for some relief is what I would do. Now what would I have done if there when Mr Floyd was being murdered, I don\'t know. We are in a time where the violence is like that of Noah\'s time right before the flood. Only this time the Earth will be destroyed by fire. So choose wisely & own it, I will stand with you in this time, as much as I will for myself.
Oh let me say this the so called Christian church was taken over in the 3rd Century by the rich, the powerful, the elites and has been on the wrong side mostly since. I mean why is there a Christian Church in Minority\'s that is very accepting of all us sinners (in Love), Yet in \"white\" America it is all about that church being more domination & control (in their laws) of be like them and still get judged, especially if you look or act different than them. So do choose wisely, or not.
Respect to you. You have looked, seen, questioned, searched and found answers. You are right that my disappointment is in the way religion is conveyed rather than the bulk of it's message. But the naivety of the religious 'enthusiasts' who deem themselves 'holier than thou' as if all that is good in the world is theirs and was invented by their religion inspires me to shout NO!
I can see you do not fit into that group. I have misinterpreted your earlier words.
