Destined.
I prayed for love's future but see
in late summer raw
need for time to spin backwards
and find spring
where plans stood pine-tall and
action cajoled
to exercise patience as opening
were seeds of hope.
We laughed at inordinate hurry
of moments and made
jokes about bearing hard roads
still ahead,
now tho' with loneliness pared
to the bone I
know positive forecasts were
pre-destined to lie.
Days weep for the nights when
moonglow lit distance,
longing for paradise as winter
struck health we
wisely coped so why then had
one star to go
orbiting forward yet its chosen
mate could not follow ?

Good write Fay.
Painful Fay
But beautifully so
Revealing a sad loss, yet ever so sweetly. Your poem cries for the oft wished for return to happier times, and bemoans the bitterness of loss. This poem of destiny's raw treatment of loved ones and the pain of missing them, rings like a warning bell to all who read it. Just lovely Fay. - Phil A.
Your words have always been mesmerizing, exposing the subjects woes.
We are left with questions and a deep longing to find meaningful answers..
But there are no answers to loss, no answers to disappointments, no answers to unfulfilled dreams......
And still the stars look down upon us as some other couples walk along the beach. Beneath the stars we learn that we just don't matter in the great scheme of things, to sit back, relax and be thankful.
Beautiful words of life from you today.
Wonderful emotive write Fay. May that star rise again.
