Birthday Drive.

Goldfinch60

It was her birthday,

She wanted a surprise.

So surprise her I did!

Drove her to the coast,

Walked along the beach,

The beach at Broadstairs!

We had a cup of coffee,

Sitting by the shore.

Then she wanted an ice cream,

So I bought her one,

When I drove her,

Drove her to Dover!

Good write Gold. It won't let me post any poems at present, on an old slow laptop I am using temporarily. I can only do comments.
See you all again soon I hope!

Thanks Orchi, shame about the laptop. I used to work in computing before I retired and we knew from experience that there were only two types of computer, the prototype and the obsolete!

Cooeee Gold! I could be back again soon. An old laptop I have is almost obsolete in the version it is. It needs a gee-up somehow - very slow, some sites not loading at all.

BRIAN HERE ~ Thanks for the Music nothing quite like a Shostokovitch Walz to lift the Spirits during lockdown ~ thanks for shariing !
WOW some drive & ice cream and coffee thrown in. Kent is a beautiful County in Spring / Summer ~ especially on a Sunny day ! Did yiu see any signs of *Lockdown Loosening* ? Where did you start from ? The distance from Broadstairs to Dover is about 25 miles (by road) so you gave your motor a *good run* which is important ! Angela takes ours to Work each day and we clock up a few more miles @ the weekend. Sounds like a lovely day out ~ AMEN. Please check *Patio Pond Paradise* ~ Thanks !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
        Love Brian & Angela 💛💛💛

I drove from Evesham to Gillingham in Kent on Friday and stayed with my friend for the weekend. It was my friends birthday on Monday and I know she likes the coast hence Gillingham to Broadstairs, Broadstairs to Dover then Dover to Gillingham, a good drive. Came back home yesterday, a good drive that only took 2 hours 40 minutes, normally it is about three hours. Did nearly 500 miles over the weekend.
