Goodness is in short supply, so, why not
Allow yourself a wholesome treat, enjoy a
Ramble amongst the Begonias, or skip by the
Daffodils, like a child once more, to rejoice, to become
Engrossed in something alluringly ancient, and why
Not tend to it, so that you can truly say “I AM a friend of the World!”

- Comment from author about the poem: Recently on my Facebook feed, I have received some posts from some of my friends, showcasing there lovely outdoor spaces, and of course, with some glorious weather back with us (in the UK at least), we will be spending a fair bit of time in them again. So with that in mind, I thought I would write and share an acrostic poem with you, that celebrates the garden, I know that in another poem of mine "Emeralds and Sapphires" the thought of this was already conveyed, but I would like to think this acrostic poem as a more generalised homage to all gardens. Hope you enjoy, and please stay safe everyone

Hi BEN - ANGELA here !
*You are nearer GODS HEART in a Garden
Than anywhereelse on Earth - AMEN !*
In my esperience that is very very true ! I can pray & medidtate much better in a GARDEN (especially in Spring / Summer) than in an old musty Church. Brian & I have been married 3 Months and have just bought our First House. It had a overgrown & neglected Garden. Brian is on *Lockdown* so he has spent a lot of time restoring the Garden and installing a Waterfall on the Patio Pond ! Im at work (Physiotherapist) so Im working with ORTHOPEADIC Patients not COVID 19. Thanks for sharing your lovely elegant Poem - very uplifting ! Please check Brians Poem *COFFEE MORNING OPEN* Thanks !
Blessings & Peace & Joy
Love Angela & Brian !
Thank you, Angela and Brian, glad you enjoyed it.
It sounds like some good restoration work is at hand from Brian, and that some good work is being done by your good self.
I will definitely check out the above-named poem.
Please stay safe,
Ben.
Walking with flowers is so uplifting in our lives Ben.
Andy
My sentiment exactly Andy, especially with a bit of Mozart, Vivaldi or something relevantly pleasant at the time; playing in the background.
And maybe even with a glass of something cheerful as well.
Hope all is well, and take care,
Ben.
