Still Time

Neville

Still Time

Still time

so why not make the most of it

Still time

But what the hell

we’re not going anywhere

Still time

so why not take a moment

No-one will notice anyhow

Still time

To make a change perhaps

Still time

where nothing happens fast

or even slowly damnit

Still time though

Maybe

Still time

So why not

Try and tame the moment

Still time

The clock stopped yesterday

Still time

So let’s just make slow memories

Still time

Whatever way you look at it

So no new tomorrows

Still time

No news today

Nor any other day

So why not seize the moment

And let us all get over it ...

OK I'm game, lets build a still. I'm not doing anything for a few days so lets contemplate.... what sort of liquor shall we create?
Of course the quality of water is really important as has been proven by the scotch distillers so i think these hot weather days are a good time to be wading into some of our freshwater streams for sampling. Or should we be creating a heavenly liquor created from the hailstones which we are promised will be arriving shortly.
Don't wince like that, i said hailstones not gallstones!

Enjoyed your everso encouraging write today.

Cheers DA.. or Nastrave as they say in Bulgaria where I have my very own still... honest 🙂 last year we made almost sixty litres of rakia from our own white grapes in just under three hours... took three days to get the degrees down to around 37percent .. and I only rarely imbibe 🙂

How wise this reminder that to make changes takes action as your verse proposes over and again. Taming the moment surely makes love-time run slower - -- so lets. Who could resist the invite.......x

                Good write Neville.
As I've said, I spent so long one day finding out what 'Carpe Diem' meant, that by the time I found out, there was no day left to seize.
Well, ya can't win 'em all, can ya?! Doh!
If they had said 'Seize The Day' to start with, I would have known what they were on about!

It's fancy phrases that are used, to sound 'classical' I suppose - and to enrich language.
