Creation Cantabilations

orchidee

Tune: All For Jesus

('Holy Spirit, come confirm us')

********

You swans, ducks, geese, at estuary

Here you gather patiently

Through each season that nature gives

By God's gift of life each lives

You do wait for morsels of bread

That you be by humans fed

We enjoy river-side meeting

Unto you some food we bring

Or birds gathered near the lock, they

There whether a sunshine day

Or may be clouds, rain, or shower

They faithful to show each hour

Peaceful scenes we do here observe

To settle soul, calm each nerve

God providing in creation

And to folk of each nation

Rivers ever ebbing, flowing

Its waters sustain each thing

That live there, a refuge, haven

And a solace unto men (mankind)

Flow on rivers, take your journey

Travelling on to the sea

Then returning whence you started

Ordered by God, He your Head

Good JULY UNCLE STEVE ~ Thanks for a great Hymn (& Vid) on the Holy Spirit and a Great Ode to the Water Fowl ! In the the Lake in the Woods near our Home - we have a Plethora of Greedy Geese - Svelte Swans - Multiple Mallards - Cute Coots and even Graceful Grebes ! They encourage us to feed grain rather than Bread. All Children love to feed Ducks but Geese can be scary ! For *Abundancia des Flores y Animales y Insectos* July (in the UK) is always the best Month especially for Flutterbyes ! Thanks for lifting our mind & Spirits !

Blessing to You & Fuzzy-Wuzzy Fido
Spiritual Love Brian & Angela & Smokey !

Nicely penned Orchi. I feed rabbits and squirrels carrots twice a week at the old building of the Ford Dealership I work at. Its a satisfying feeling knowing that they look forward to my offerings as every time I return, the previous carrots are gone.

Thanks AP and for the 'favourites' too. I never know which poems to choose as 'favourites'!

        • Accidental Poet

aah, that\'s usually where you really like a poem a lot and you hit the favorite star. Try it, you'll figure it out. Just don't swoon and you'll be fine ; )

It's all right for some, such as me, having cantabilations, isn't it?! When we know what they are, that is! You want some? lol.

            • Accidental Poet

If I knew what cantabilations are I would be able to comment, but seeing as I've no clue what you're talking about I'll pass for now. ; )

              • orchidee

You see my explanatory comment in the 'poet's comment's box? Or am I wittering on with rubbish? lol.
It derives from 'cantabile'. Must be my made-up word, as spell-checker don't like it!

                • Accidental Poet

Oh ok, now I get ya. Maybe you'll have to spank the spell-checker. ; )

                  • orchidee

It's my fault for inventing a word that don't seem to exist! lol.

                    • Accidental Poet

Too late. You already invented it. Into the official dictionary of Orchi it goes. ; )

                      • orchidee

Did you think it might be something 'swoony' before seeing my explanation?! lol.

                        • Accidental Poet

I expect nothing less of you Orchi. Nothing less. ; )

Good one Orchi, being with nature is so wonderful.

Lovely read Orchi - nature can teach us so many things.
