Reconciled Reminder

Tune: Rivaulx

('Father of heaven, whose love profound')

Ephesians 2 v.12-14

********

Remember, one time you did not

Know Christ's salvation, that your lot

You were as aliens, strangers

And unto God desire not stirs

Did not share in the commonwealth

That brought you life and your soul's health

Not in covenants of promise

But not for ever the way miss

Though had no hope, and in world, see

Your state was without God, so be

But now in Christ Jesus you who

Were far off are now made night true

Made nigh by His blood, the Lamb slain

Lamb of God, that we life may gain

His life given in innocence

His lonely sufferings we sense

As lamb to slaughter, did not speak

He our sacrifice lowly, meek

An offering to God, perfect

Entire, whole, and without defect

He is our peace, He has made one

Jew and Gentile, He God's own Son

And has made one too God and man (mankind)

Breaking down walls as none else can

    So where is he now!
Where was he for my Joyce!

Thanks Gold. Yet even St Paul says he had joy through afflictions. We all know they don't all disappear as if waving a magic wand. I could add - how about us at church praying for X - and they.... you know it.

Blind faith. Keep your eyes shut and believe in the divine fear placed in your soul.

Thanks dusk. well, 'fear' usually mean 'awe' or 'respect'. Sometimes it's in the sense of 'terror' though. Did I get too sentimental of seeing a pic of sheep/lamb tied up ready for slaughter? Though I don't think so.

          Hi Orchidee,

God is good all the time.

He really loves us. He sacrificed his son to save our souls on Earth. That's true love.

          An excellent write.

Keep writing and safe during these challenging times.
